Meet Expert Audiologists You Can Trust
Robin Carson, Au.D., CCC-A
Doctor of Audiology
I’m blessed to have an amazing team of people working with me, and each one of them is a star at what they do. In some ways, Carson Hearing Care feels less like a practice and more like a family – and that includes the patients. As we help them work through their hearing challenges, we develop a special bond that lasts far beyond the patient visit.
I was born and raised in New England and I completed my undergraduate work at Niagara University in upstate New York. I received a Masters Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of New Mexico and a Doctorate degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences. I feel like Texas is my true home. I love everything about Fort Worth and enjoy spending time with my husband Rod and our three children.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of Carson Hearing Care.
Erich Gessling, AU.D.
Doctor of Audiology
For me, the field of audiology is all about people. It gives me the opportunity to change my patients’ quality of life through better hearing. At Carson Hearing Care, our goal is to educate our patients so that they make the best decisions for their health and to provide an extremely high level of service and expertise to everyone.
I have been with Carson Hearing Care since 2017 and have loved every minute. Working for a company that is so involved in the community was my goal and Carson Hearing Care takes every opportunity to give back to the community in every way.
I was born and raised here in the North Fort Worth area and currently live out in Aledo. I received my undergraduate and Doctorate degree from the University of North Texas. At North Texas, I taught an undergraduate class on speech and hearing science while running an adult hearing aid research lab. I enjoy spending time with my wife Sylvia and our three kids.
Lydia Sancer, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology
I was drawn to the field of audiology because of a deep desire to help people hear and improve communication, allowing them to restore their relationships and take control of their life again. Hearing loss is an insidious disability that can have many negative repercussions, and my mission is to improve my patients’ quality of life through education and treatment. At Carson Hearing Care we have an exceptional team of people who feel more like family than colleagues, and I am very excited and proud to be part of this amazing team.
I was born in Southern California and moved to Denton Texas during my childhood years. I currently live in Fort Worth and I am very excited to call this city my home! I earned my Doctorate of Audiology degree from the University of North Texas where I also completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. While attending UNT, I was employed as a hearing aid technician. I began my career as a resident at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Upon graduating I knew wanted to work in private practice setting, where building strong relationships with my patients would allow me to provide the best possible care. When I am not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, traveling, cooking, and playing with my dachshund puppy Frankie!
I have worked for Carson Hearing Care since its opening in 2013. I love my job and all of our patients! Being a part of a team that helps people hear better is so rewarding. The office is a happy place to be and each patient is treated like a part of the family. I am thankful to work with such a wonderful group of people. Loving my job so much, in 2018 I went back to school and became a licensed Audiology Assistant.
I was born and raised in Fort Worth, and I love living here. I attended Texas Tech University and have a degree in Communication. I have been married to my husband Steven since 1993 and we have three children. We enjoy hanging out on good patio and going to TCU games. We attend church at Christ Chapel where we are involved in a great small group.
I joined the Carson Hearing Care family in the summer of 2019 after transitioning from my former career as a full-time caretaker, personal chef, and chauffeur (AKA a mom). As one of the office administrators at Carson Hearing Care, I enjoy greeting our cherished patients with a smile and visiting with them as they wait to see our specialists. Our patients are like family to us, and I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know each of them and listen to their stories.
When I’m not at the office you can find me relaxing on a shady patio, taking walks along the Trinity River, working on a new craft project, or simply spending time with my husband, Mike, and our three daughters, Hannah, Alex and Adeline. Our family has called Fort Worth “home” for over 25 years. I’ve enjoyed staying active in our city by serving on PTA boards and Booster Clubs, volunteering for local charities like JDRF and the American Heart Association, and attending Watermark Community Church. Now I am blessed to have joined the Carson Hearing Care team and look forward to serving you!
I came to work at Carson Hearing Care in 2013 when Robin decided to make the big plunge into opening her own practice. As one of the office administrators, I meet and greet the patients, handle the phones and manage the scheduling of patients, along with an array of other clerical duties.
Since we opened, I have seen Carson Hearing Care grow into a passion-driven business from Robin. Her commitment to excellence in the industry as well as her patients is what drives me daily. We enjoy being at work, helping patients and having them include us in their lives.
I was born and raised in Fort Worth, and my husband Kenny and I have two girls. The oldest, Erin, has boy-girl twins that attend Trinity Valley School. Our youngest daughter, Erika, recently graduated from TCU and moved to New York City shortly after to pursue her dream of living there (we wish she would come home!).
I encourage you to stop by anytime, have a cup of coffee and meet the Carson Hearing Care team.
